I've been playing for few weeks on a friends server I am more interested in the thaumcraft than other mods atm however after weeks of searching I havent located a single mana pod. I've searched for magic forests but as of today most of the "magic forests" look to get taken over by the rainbow forests.. without making her undo that mod is there any way for me to find the mana pods?

Try making flat mystcraft age and look for it. Not sure if mystcraft has a page for magical forest but if it does you can go with this.
Mystcraft is like Reddit, there is a page for everything.
I get plenty of mana beans from just setting up mob traps in tainted fields or eerie micro-biomes. Even a small mob trap will fill a filing cabinet with mana beans over time.
Tainted/Eerie areas are MUCH, MUCH easier to find than magical forests.

k there is a tainted field just east of my base had been trying to clear it up with blooms but lol guess I wont will see if mob traps work for me. also hubby works with the mystcraft so I dont know much about it will tell him what you said about the flat mystcraft age & see if that doesnt help. Thx
