Not able to join mutiplayer servers.

Details of the issue:
I am not able to join multiplayer servers. I've double checked and I am whitelisted but when I try to join it says there is a problem with my mods and I lose connection to the server. I have a screenshot of the message but this forum will not allow me to post it?
The screen comes up with white text saying MOD REJECTIONS. Here is an example of the rejected mods: FMLMod:StorageDrawersForestry{1.7.10-1.1.0) and FMLModBotania{r1.8-247}
I have been able to create single player worlds without a problem so im not sure what the problem is. Please help.​

Im also getting lots of lag when creating/ playing in singleplayer - any way to fix this?

Make sure that you have the same version as the server is running. Mod rejection means that the version of the mod on the server is different from the version you have.
