help would be appreciated.
congrats in saying the same as i did, but using more lines1.Go to .minecraft
2.Go to saves
3.Copy your World
4.Go to your FTB-Directory
5.Go to your Pack (IF youre using monster then monster-folder)
6.Go to minecraft
7.Go to Save
8.Paste your World
Make you sure that your MC-Version is the same as the Version of your Modpack!
how do i do that ??Timm has it spot on, should work very easily.
However...you aren't going to get any of the new ores and world generation that FTB adds. If you have vanilla structures that you want to transfer over, another method you could do is create a new FTB world...and then use worldedit to create schematics of all your stuff and just paste them into the new world.

*looks behind* Now, look here..There are tons of guides found via google about how to install/use worldedit...go read one of them, they'll explain it a lot better than I can in a limited sized post.
No, you stop walking in front of me!

I wouldnt worry about the ores too much, you could always travel to the twilight forest dimension or just use nether portals to travel a huge distance in the overworld, all the new ores would be there.
That's technically not completely accurate. You'll get SOME ores with cofh doing retro generation. I know from personal experience. I've loaded vanilla world's in 1.5 & 1.6 and found Thaumcraft & TE ores in pre generated terrain. You won't get world gen structures and some mod resources won't generate in existing terrain, but you won't lose out completely.Timm has it spot on, should work very easily.

TE and TC4 retrogen, so those are not issues. Most mods use tin, lead, copper, and silver anyways, plus there is nickel and platinum (ferrous and shiny) for extra compatibility. That's technically not completely accurate. Exactly. Unless your vanilla world is VERY large, I'd say go for it when loading into a modpack. "Large" is very subjective though.TE and TC4 retrogen, so those are not issues.
