So recently I got to a point where I made a matter fabricator. However when I tried to figure out the amount of EU required to make 1 UU matter I got 2 different answers: 16 666 666 from the feed the beast wikia (http://feed-the-beast.wikia.com/wiki/Matter_Fabricator) which, so far, I found very reliable, but NEI in-game says 166 666 (though I might be misinterpreting that). I think that it is 166 666 EU, but I'm not 100% sure and don't want to drain all my energy for nothing.

That is becuase those are actual diffrent machines.

Matter Fab
Mass Fab.

one is From IC2 the other is from GT and depending on your config setup only one of the two will be allowed to be built.

Oh, that was pretty stupid of me lol. I just meant matter fabricator, not mass fabricator.
Sorry for the confusion

For the Matter Fab it is 16,666,666 EU and it has to be supplied with scrap.

For reference, the IC2 Mass Fab takes 1,000,000 EU without amplifier, and with an amplifier it takes 166,666 EU.

Dang, 16.7 mil EU?
Ouch, a fully charged MFSU can't even make 1 UU matter lol
Thanks for the info!

That is to say, the mass fabricator gets a discount on its EU usage based on what materials you hand it. The matter fabricator requires loads more EU to function and doesn't have "amplifiers" - it has "requirements", and they don't lower its EU usage one bit. The idea is that Greg thought the mass fabricator to be cheap.

If there's one thing I agree with Greg on more than anything, is the cheap nature and broken implementation of the mass fabricator.
Creative mode in a box, just supply a bad MK1 nuclear reactor's worth of energy in.
