So, what's the best way to feed scrap from a chest into a mass fabricator? I currently have an autarchic gate set up to pump whenever the MF's inventory isn't full, but it's just too slow. Is there a way to synch a redpower filter or other device to the MF's inventory slot?

If you have the materials, you could probably set up an emerald pipe to the autarchic gate and have the rest as golden pipes. The emerald pumps like a wooden pipe, but has the speed of golden pipes. Also during the recent update, the autarchic gates do pump faster so that should be a bit of help. I'm not enough into redpower yet to give you an answer about an alternative.

Set up a normal gate to turn on a redstone signal when the MF inventory is not full, and then put an electrical engine next to it (or magmatic/etc), and use that engine to get more items a second than you'd be able with the autarchic gate.

I didn't know that about the emerald pipes, honestly I haven't even made one yet. That may be the solution, thanks.

Edit:No dice, still way too slow. I ended up using a filter ticking off a timer, and just adjusting the timer to keep the MF full of scrap.
