Just started a FTB server on mac today. Found out that it crashes unless I downgrade my java to 6 from 7. After downgrading, FTB works fine. Then downloaded FTB Ultimate server and open it up. Everything works fine but it seems a bit slow and choppy. Then around 50% it states something like "NoClassDef Error" or something. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with me downgrading to 6 and the server may be incompatible? Is there anything I could do to fix it ?

Java 6 is best for Mac so no problem there as long as you have update 45 or what ever the latest is for version 6. As for the error it seems like your server ran out of memory.
'Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space'

How much RAM do you have allocated to the server? How many people do you have on the server? I do not run servers, but that info will help someone figure out how much RAM you should allocate.
This article might help as well:

I have 1GB dedicated to it, isn't that enough? It says it only uses about 150mb until it has 0% free space.
