No Vanilla ores in Deep Dark?

A few days ago I set up a QuarryPlus in the deep dark and it works fine. Except that I don't seem to get any vanilla ores. No gold, iron, coal, diamond, redstone, ... Just lots of cobblestone and ores from other mods like Certus Quartz, copper, ...

Is that normal? I don't think it is but what could cause this?

I have mined four chunks already and not a single vanilla ore was found.

Modpack would be helpful. Some mod pack alert ors spawning. For example TPPI changes at what levels ores will spawn. I never had a problem like that in DW20 pack.

I'm actually using my own custom set of mods. And in any case, I'm letting the quarry mine from top to bedrock and I have plenty of vanilla ores in the overworld.

is cofh core configured to supplant vanilla generation and use its own? It is in most FTB packs and consequently universal config you have perhaps used in your own pack?

How can I see? I see nothing special related to this in the cofh files. Also I am getting Vanilla ore generation in Twilight Forest. I haven't tried a mystcraft world yet though. Need to do that.

This is a bit of a long shot. I don't know which dimensions CoFHWorld even tries to generate ore in - over than the overworld. Theres nothing in the config to indicate it has any awareness of any dimension other than the overworld.
