No server will start

so i recently decided to get back into FTB, its been a while and a few friends and i have figured we would just put together a server.. however no matter what we do we cant get it to work.... so to fill out the form...

• What OS are you running? Windows 8
• Are you using minecraft hosting provider or a dedicated/local server not designed for minecraft? Currently Dedicated/Local Server
• What version of FTB are you using? (Dont just say latest tell us the version) V1.3.8
• Did you add any mods to the server pack? No
• What are your server specs? Win 8, 8Gig Ram, Quad core processor
• A good detailed paragraph about the problem: I am trying to use McMyAdmin here, i downloaded the server files and placed the files into the minecraft directory i had created using mcmyadmin. MCMA starts up just fine without the mods i should add here. So back on track, i try to start up the server and if i try using monster it tells me this that and the other mod has errored. The server tries to restart over and over but to no avail. Ive tried re-installing everything over and over for the past few hours now. I used to host before and it was pretty straight forward but for whatever reason no matter what pack i download the server just WILL NOT startup :/

ok first thing, Change your MCMyAdmin port in the config

1. Error : Port 8081 is already in use by another application.

What modpack is this? you have said version but not the modpack name

I think you are looking at the FTB launcher version, and not the modpack version

I host a Monster server and have no issues with launching it.

I would change the port number first to see if that fixes it. if not let me know and well look into it again

Hey man thanks for the help on this... its needed badly... never had these issues in the past but suddenly im riddled with them. I should also mention im trying to use MCPC+ for the plugins for anti grief stuff and what not. I tried changing the port number like u said but it just did the same thing again. So we're back to square one. Here is the server log: PASTEBIN

First, the port number has nothing to do with the error, as that's just for the web interface to McMyAdmin.

Might try redownloading the server package and reuploading the jars/zips for numina, DragonAPI, Emashercore, and Buildcraft. Just a shot in the dark, those errors sound like those dependency mods might be corrupt.

Actually, reading further into it...you might just want to redownload/reupload everything:

Doesn't say "which" file is empty though.

The FTB Client is where I always download my server files. (Download Server button)

UPDATE: yeah that never worked either, still doin the same thing... good thing this is supposed to be a simple process rofl ... still getting that numina errored and what not... tried removeing it altogether but then the serve crashes ..so its one of those situations.... any other suggestions guys?

That does not appear to be the forge log, it is named forge-log-0.log I think.

Also did you reinstall monster as stated above? It appears you are missing required mods? Check your crash-reports folder in the server directory it should have a report saying that, if it doesn't please post the report there if there isn't one please tell us however I think you are missing mods or something of the sort so try deleting the config, library's, mods, folder ( or move them to another directory) and download the version of the pack you want from the launcher by selecting the pack, then version, then clicking download server and use the files it gives you.

Yeah i have re-installed it multiple times. I have tried downloading it from both the client and website to no avail. I checked the crash log folder for the server but there is nothing in it. Really appreciate the effort here to help me with this guys...i've spent countless hours on what should be taking me mere mins trying to get this server up and running.

2. Nobody here trusts downloads use pastebin

thanks for the replies man, this is driving me insane. dunno why its so much trouble to just put up a bloody server...but i digress... the ForgeModLoader-server-0.log has nothing in it, its the ForgeModLoader-server-0 thats a text document that has the error. Pastebin has some kinda weird restriction on free accounts says only pro members can post over the character limit. So i really dont know how to get you a copy of that log cause pastebin wont let me :/

edit: sorry 500Kb is the restriction not chars...my bad but i still cant copy and paste the log to pastebin so what now?[DOUBLEPOST=1398214547][/DOUBLEPOST]after looking at that log tho it looks pretty identical to the server log from mcma, just states about amina and draponapi erroring

SO its all narrowed down to DragonAPI and Numina are both erroring and i haven't the slightest clue why. frustrated beyond words

As I said swap out your server.log it should never be larger then 500KB. Also there is a far more serous issue if your forge log has no information.

We will need that server.log since the forgelogs are not there which probably means that forge isn't even starting. Anyway swap out the server.log and post the new one.
