Details of the issue:

So I launch the ftb launcher and start downloading a modpack once it finishes downloading the files the launcher then disappears ready for the game to launch, but nothing happens its returned to the launcher like nothing ever happened I tried it again and the exact same thing happens.​

java version restart launcher, open options tab, click advanced options and make launcher to use java 8u51. Click exit and restart launcher. Try starting pack again and post a new log if
mc still fails to launch
