No diamonds on smp

for some reason diamonds and ic2 copper ore wont spawn on my smp server any ideas why? Also any ideas how to fix it?
 
I believe IC2 copper ore is disabled by default for the FTB pack. Should be able to get it spawning again by changing the IC2 configs.
As for diamonds, i have no idea, how do you know no diamonds are spawning?
