No angry zombies... w/ Mo's Creatures?

I have been on my smp server for 50+ hours and I have yet to find a angry zombie and therefore no zombie brains for brain in a jar. The only extra mod is Mo's Creatures so I was wondering if anyone else experienced this or nos a work around.

EDIT: Are there any mod that I could use change the world spawn rates?

Apparently Mo'Creatures can mess up the spawn rates of mobs from other mods. Could be worse, once this happened to me without installing any other mods :mad:

I've seen a few folks post that changing the cfg helps, but I didn't have much luck on our server. I'm not sure we found a single one at all. Its a fabulous mod though.

Any solution for this so far? I deactivated the "despawn vanilla mobs" and this is two MC-Nights away, no angry zombies while i flew around with my jetpack :/

There is also a bug in 1.5.1 versions of Thaumcraft that cause Angry zombies not to spawn if anyone tweaks vanilla biomes or spawn rates. Supposed to be fixed recently.

if you are using the 1.5.x version of the mod with Extra Biomes or Biomes O Plenty (or any other biome mod) you could try the most recent update to fix this. I you aren't using 1.5.x and a biome mod please disregard this message.

- cinnibar should once again spawn... oops. You might want to run regen for cinnibar if the world was created using MC 1.5 or later.

Hm the direwolf20 pack has thaumcraft 3 (3.0.3) and of course its at 1.4.7 of MC. Can i still do anything to make it working ?

I had recently posted a fix to this in another thread, but if you go into the MoCProperties file in your config folder and set, "ModifyVanillaSpawns" to false everything should spawn just fine. I'm running Mo'Creatures on a 1.4.7 server and haven't had a single issue with Angry Zombies not spawning.

Hm, that sounds like it should modify the same settings. I'm using Mo'Creatures 4.6, so I think the config changed to prepare for the upcoming changes. I know that the fix I mentioned works for 4.6, but I'm not 100% sure about 4.5.1.

OOOk... something is terrible wrong here.

It just didnt worked. Also funny was the fakt that in the ingame "Global Mod Options" both settings, "Despawn vanilla mobs" and "Change Vanilla Spawns" were set to 'yes' even when i set both to 'false' in the vonfig file.

So i changed to 4.6.0a of Mo'Creatures and now i get an error/crash report when i start Minecraft via FTB.

Ah, yeah I bet you're crashing due to the new ids added in for the big updates coming to Mo'Creatures. It should be a quick id switch in your config and you should be good to go. Check your crash report to see which ids are conflicting.

what guiAPI version are you using and in Jar or Core Mods? Cause with MoC 4.5. i used it with JarMods and in the MoC thread somebody wrote it should be in CoreMods

About the error, it seems like a conflict with Thaumcrafts infused stones.

Ok the ID that needs to be changed is in E:\Minecraft-FTB\Direwolf20\minecraft\config (example for my System) and there in the file MoCProperties.cfg

The ID of the dirtblock needs to be changed
