New World: Loud Booms?

So, I started playing the New World pack today when all of a sudden I heard a loud boom. I looked around and didn't find anything. Any ideas on what it could be?

I believe the new world pack has a meteor addon. Those go boom.

The new world mod pack does have the falling meteors mod. But I have absolutely no idea of the sound they make.

meteors, thats what it is, they will land generally in the area your standing, randomly... VERY rarely will they ever land ON you but you'll want to find one of said meteor landing sites and dig up meteorite to make a meteor shield, so it never happens.

also, hope you like griefing cause the meteors will do a lot of it. and watch out for alien creepers too.

I've actually never played new world. It's files are just sitting in my hard drive.
