New update and my server

So I've had a server going about 3 weeks now, and MindCrack just had an update. Two of my friends did the update not even thinking it would cause a problem. They can't get on the server now (it says they don't have stuff). Now what I'm wondering is this, if I accept the update on my computer, I probably won't be able to get on my own server. So how do I update my server to the new update?

I'm on a mac, running the server from my mac.
