New to this mod and confused

Ok I took a long break from minecraft and came back and I am trying this mod. However I am confused as to where it is getting its recipes. I am very familiar with IC2 recipes and I went to build some solar panels. I shot out to IC2 wiki and saw the recipe has not change. I need coal, glass, circuits and a generator. Much to my confusion this mod change the recipe. Now the recipe extremely complicated where I need an industrial centrifuge to craft silicon cells and there seem to be at least 6 different recipes for it (moving recipe items really annoying)

I did search on silicon cells and I guess they come from advance machines but I am 100% not sure. Is there a wiki that has all the recipe this mod uses or am I face with finding out that mod A recipes no longer work because now it uses one part from mod b and 2 parts from mod c.

any help and/or advice will be greatly appreciated.

The changes are from the GregTech mod. One moment while I go grab the configurations so you can go back to vanilla IC2 behavior...

Here's where I describe the configuration. If you want all vanilla IC2 behavior, set it all to false.

Keep in mind this won't help on servers, though; the recipe on a server is determined by the server's own configurations.

Ah cool thanks. At least now I have a clue of what I am looking for. You did a great job at explaining it. I will give the gregtech mod a chance to see how I like it.

A nice feature of the FTB launcher is the fact that you can disable mods you don't like.

GregTech is a very polarizing mod - you either like it or you hate it. Few if any people are indifferent or 'don't mind'. If you happen to become one of the people who hates it, you can simply disable it in the launcher and never see it again.
