it brings a slight increase in cache as well, and that's where the negligible performance difference comes from.

is it worth it to buy an i5 over an i3 if you only play minecraft? no.

if you play anything mainstream and modern, or you compose music or edit/stream video, then you'll see better results from the i5 and it would be worth it.
