Windows .jar Network is unreachable

Each time I try to play Feed The Beast it never seems to load and in the console it says Network is Unreachable: connect: java.net SocketException: Network is unreachable: connect

It sounds like the launcher is unable to connect to the internet. Check your AV and Fire wall to see if it is blocking it.
