Bug NEI vanished on server

Ok, I'm playing on a server with some friends, and last night NEI vanished, I tried pressing "o" to toggle it, but that apparently isn't the problem. Playing a singleplayer world on the same instance shows NEI working perfectly.

This is Infinity 1.2.0. Any ideas what the problem might be?
 
Did you press O in the inventory menu? 99.9% of the time people just toggle it then try to press O in a area where you cant (like the creative box menu).
 
I did try that, as I said, but it wasn't the problem. However NEI just came back on its own, so the problems solved, but I'm none the wiser. :P
