Hey everyone, first of all, good day to you all

Second I reached a problem with the new modpacks,

They are awesome, and almost complete for me, so I normally add a few mods to them just because I also like them, but after the changes I get more than 19k items.

As you now, that's a lot of items to be processed by NEI and gives me a ton of pages.

There are so many pages that when I search for a particular one, it takes NEI like 3 to 5 seconds to even filter the items in the left. I'm not saying thats the NEI problem, really it's my problem to have a ton of mods added to the modpacks, but i want to know if there is a way to hide some items from NEI, because I noticed that I have a ton of pages with facades or even microblocks.

So I want to know if there is a way to hide all the facades, microblocks and others in NEI, (hopefully that solves the lag when NEI is filtering the items)

BTW, sorry for my bad english, and thanks for your time

PS: Don't say to buy a new computer or parts...

How to reduce the number of pages in NEI:

* Reduce your GUI scale

* Remove mods if that doesn't remove enough pages

When that happens to me, I type zzz in the NEI textbox at the bottom. Nothing matching zzz, so it shows nothing on the right side.

You can also hit 'O' when in NEI mode to disable the NEI GUI, but that disables that entire thing, including the search box. Not good.

^He doesn't want to make NEI not visible at all, but rather hide some specific mods/item groups from NEI. As far as I know that is not possible tho

Identify the mod you want to hide in Item SubSets at the top of your screen, and right click that mod. You'll see it go dark, indicating that you won't find it in NEI anymore. Left click on it to restore it if you become curious at its recipe again.

Oh great idea Dragei, because I use the @ method I forgot you could turn off the stuff like that =p

Yeah I didn't want to change gui's or remove mods, I just wanted to remove the million pieces I have in microblocks, or every tool part from tinkers construct

Doing so I shortned the pages from 66 to 40 and now NEI doesn't spent any time at all looking for the recipes

Afterwards, enter cheat mode and save those configurations so you don't lose them =]

in chickencore config you have an option to filter out microparts so they don't show up in NEI or so I think
