Probably a quarry.

If you are playing in normal mode and have a bit of resources, you could breed radioactive bees using Gendustry. They produce uranium and not yellorium, but this is compatible with Big Reactors and the fuel output is 8 times higher compared to the yellorium bees.

It does take a bit more time and effort, but then you have a 100% renewable source of reactor fuel without the need for running quarries.

Bees is not an easy thing, even with Gendustry. There's really no substitute for mining by hand early in any game. There's really no way to avoid it, since you can't make the "good stuff" (like a quarry) to automate mining until you've mined some materials by hand. I usually don't spend a whole lot of time mining by hand, with a pickaxe, but I always spend SOME time doing it.

If you are single player, and enabled cheats when you started your world, you could always just type "/gamemode 1" to go into creative mode and grab some "free" Yellorium to get started, then type "/gamemode 0" to go back to survival mode and continue on. Yes, it's considered "blatant cheating" by other players to do it this way, but so what? It's your world. If that bothers you, then don't enable cheats. :) Your choice. Good luck!
