Windows .jar Need To Allocate more RAM

FTB requires me to have more RAM allocated and it won't let me go above 1 GB even though I have 16 GB of RAM installed on my motherboard.

How exactly do you mean? Have you tried to increase maximum RAM in the launcher settings?

Sitting in a meeting ;)

You need the 64bit version of Java to allocate more than 1GB. Get it here. Also please remove any other version of Java you have including the 32bit versions, even if they are the same version number as the 64bit one.
