I'm planning on doing an RPG like FTB server for me and my friends. I wanna get goals and little things to make in the free time for us to do. For example, make a little village and have them want oil. So we'd have to make a pipeline of oil to their village. We're bored with the regular checklist of things to do in FTB. Can you guys help come up with goals and objectives for us? I'm willing to build buildings and stuff.

Again, PVP helps spice things up in the RP sense. When I played Tekkit with a few buddies of mine, we got bored early as we had everything in the first couple days. Competition breeds growth. I convinced them that we should try killing each other for fun, giving ourselves 20 minutes of no attacking when we started the new world. It led to an arms race, of which I won. The rules stated we can't use EE2 solar EMC generation or use the weapons/armor from that mod, but the chests were okay.

Maybe RP rebuilding after the apocalypse, and have one guy be like a DM who spawns in nasty things, like hydra, withers, Naga, and Dragons, to hamper your progress/have a goal in defeating.

Edit: better yet, have a set countdown timer for when something will spawn. It will give you time to prepare/hide.

* There is an invading army approaching. Build up a series of forts in naturally defensible locations and build fortifications around the towns to protect the villagers!

* The mayor is wanting to start up an industrial complex, but he needs someone to build the facility and build supply lines for the materials.

* The village is wanting to expand and needs new housing, which will need to be build up to code. Building code includes proper wiring for lighting and proper plumbing for sanitation. Possibly make it an apartment complex complete with stairs and perhaps a functional piston-driven elevator (assuming you don't just have OpenBlocks for the elevator block).

* There's this new fad for Jack-O-Lanterns. Everyone's wanting some kind of silly decoration with a jack-o-lantern in it these days. Maybe there's even going to be a competition for who can make the best jack-o-lantern decoration.

* The villagers are wanting a new windmill for grinding flower from their crops to make bread. However, their expectations are a little... grandiose.
