Like the title says, I am making a modpack and I'd like some suggestions as to what you guys would like to see. My goal is to make a "kitchen sink" type pack. Before you groan and say "not another one of those packs," let me explain how mine is going to be different. First off, I am not going to just throw in any mod I can find. I am going to carefully choose the mods; each of them will have a purpose. Some of them may be mods which are commonly used in packs, while others may not be. My goal is to create a pack where any player can have a good time. Whether they like to explore caves and dungeons, build complex machinery setups, or use magic to manipulate the world around them, it'll all be here. That makes the pack sound like it'll just have any and every mod. Trust me, it won't.
There will be all sorts of dungeons, complex cave systems, and all sorts of monsters. I will also modify the default vanilla loot chests to include more of the modded items. I want players to be able to endlessly explore the world.
For the tech, I don't want to player to be able to automate every aspect of their lives. I will need some suggestions as to which mods I shouldn't include in order to make the player still work for most things.
For the magic, I'm planning on adding Thaumcraft, and maybe a few addons. I am really not into magic, but I know a lot of players are, so I will REALLY need suggestions here. I would like some magic mods where its really easy to get started, and simple to understand, so most every player would be able to do some simple magic stuff.
It's hard to put my thoughts into words here. I just need some suggestions for some mods you guys would like to see in a modpack. (As in unique mods, not ones you could find in any other large modpack)
