This is probably a totally impossible request, but does anyone know an item that will let flux waste from my crucible escape, but block rain coming the other way?

I have a chimney that keeps getting rain coming down it XD

Challenge accepted.

Try a few blocks of Tinker's clearglass or Botania's managlass at the highest Y level possible. (high enough to be invisible)
If the chimney doesn't need to be vertical, a small kink will block the rain and allow the flux to flow out.
Or rig some pistons to close the chimney with a rain detector.
If flux can be easily destroyed- rig the mechanism in the chimney.
If you can live without rain- automated weather control, or change a small area around your crucible to a desert biome.​

I built an attic, with four flux scrubbers. So flux rises up and gets dealt with.

Alternately, a piston chimney. Open when the sun shines, closed when it's not, pushing a glass block or something into place. Nice place to use a vanilla daylight sensor.

Is the flux "escaping" rather than disappearing a critical part of the request? Some people use pistons and block detectors to automatically "smash" the flux as soon as it appears, then you can have a normal roof.
