I intend to breed chickens in a 5x5 area and I have an MFR Sewer in the middle. What can I use to pick up the eggs, even if they're on the sewer as well?
Need some help setting up a chicken farm.

What stage in the game are you? The best solution is a floor made of Applied Energistics Transition Planes. Any eggs that get spawned on the sewer will be lost, but at worst it would be a 1/25th of the eggs.
Another solution is a floor of hoppers, but chickens may occasionally fall through and die. Obsidian Pipes powered by redstone engines have a collection area of 3x3 blocks, much like transposers did, so a few of those on the roof would pickup most of them.

Haven't gotten the high-end stuff yet, but I think I stumbled upon a solution: an Obsidian Pipe 4 blocks above the center powered by an Electric Engine. All tests I ran had that one pipe picking up everything.
This can be fixed by placing a slab on top of the hoppers. Items can fall through slabs and the chickens will have something to stand on.
