So I created a MINDCRACK FTB server and it seems to be really difficult to build solar pannels/macerators and what not.
Now from playing regular tekkit it was a lot more simple. Is there any way I get it back to being more simple by deleting something or adding something?

That's called Gregtech, an addon for IC2. It changes many of the IC2 recipes to be more difficult, as well as adding many end game things. Trying to leave my opinion aside here, but it shifts many things to a harder difficulty, but makes those things harder to get because you can't even macerate things as early and get a good start. You can disable Gregtech recipes in Config, it's very useful for if you'd like to play the modpack without having to spend hours on starting off.

A simple search of the forums will produce all the information you need to do this.

I would personally go with the Direwolf20 pack. It's almost exactly the same as Mindcrack, minus Gregtech.

The mistake a lot of people make is assuming that the DW20 and MC packs were made for public use. Their MAIN use is for people who want to play along to their favorite LPers, and they are extremely tailored to those people. Guude asked for difficulty and trains, so he got GT and turtles. If you want to play by yourself, you should choose amongst the Lite, Beta, Tech or Magic packs (unless by coincidence one of the others is your dream pack, or you want to play the brony pack)

Lost as always
Alternately, use a new mod, Thermal Expansion, for your early game ore processing. Look up the Pulverizer. It does pretty much the same thing, and runs on Buildcraft MJ's. There's a LOT of new engines too. Use NEI to look up the recipes. Also, check out the my blog for how to play with some of the newer mods.
