Title Need help with setup. FTB Infinity Evolved

Details of the issue I Have been looking everywhere on how to setup a server with plugins but no luck. I have tried the few ive found but it will not launch as i get a java error saying its not supported anymore.
I know i can just add the mod as a plugin resolver but i dont want that. If anyone here could tell me of a server that works with plugins. Thanks :)

If you mean bukkit plugins you need to use Thermos. For 1.10 and above, use Sponge and Sponge plugins.
