To establish a baseline, please read the quote. Many problems are solved by the troubelshooting guide, and those that aren't, we can work on from here.
Please read below. Please be sure to read all of the info available in the 2 articles.
Please follow these steps exactly: http://desk.feed-the-beast.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/9/0/basic-troubleshooting
This is to rule out any issues with your setup. Please also read the extra info at the bottom of the guide, and apply all applicable suggestions.
Please attempt to launch the modpack, and open a new world save to make sure the setup is correct.
Now, continue on to check your previous saves, changes to the pack, textures, etc. until you're able to reproduce the error with the clean setup.

When the error has been repeated, please post your complete client-side (launcher) console log in debug-mode to pastebin.com and link your paste URL here.
To find your logs and prevent them from expiring: http://desk.feed-the-beast.com/inde...29/1/what-log-do-you-need-where-can-i-find-it

If you're clicking "Launch" then your launcher works.

Now, since we seem to be at a misunderstanding please tell me what happens, in plain English. Or simply select from the following:

1. You double click on the FTBLauncher.exe and it does not open the launcher.
2. You click launch and it does not load Minecraft.

He said he clicked on the icon to launch the launcher so he means the .exe file.

Open cmd.exe from the start menu search by typing in cmd then type java -jar followed by the path to the .exe in quotes and paste the result to pastebin. It should look something like
java -jar "C:\Folder\Other Folder\Feed the Beast.exe"

Open the start menu with the super/windows key then in the search box type cmd. The option cmd.exe should come up, open it. Once it's open type in "java -jar" without the quotes then the path to the launcher exe file contained in quotes so it should look something like this
java -jar "C:\Folder\Other Folder\Feed the Beast.exe"
Then press enter and if it still doesn't open post all the text it returns to pastebin. Sorry for the late reply.
