So i made an Arboretum and i put Humus and some saplings into it but does not accept sand?? Also i cannot power it either, i think this is because it does not have any sand?

The Arboretum does not need any sand. It will return sand once humus is used up and trees start to grow.

What do you mean by "cannot power it"? What are you trying to power it with? Do you have any Wrath Lamps nearby?

Thanks for replying in such short time, I've tried using golden conductive pipe hooked up to red stone engines and the Arboretum is next to a logger and thats not accepting and power and doesn't clear any space around it and doesn't plant any humus down either.

Redstone engines no longer provide power to conductive pipes or to machines. You will need to use a "real" engine.

A picture would help.

Hit F2 in game, then you will find the screenshot in <FTB folder>/<modpack name>/screenshots.

do you have a wooden conductive pipe connected to the hobbyist steam engine? then that connected to the golden conductive pipe and feeding into the arboretum & logger?

Yeah, can i just put the Arboretum next to the logger and it will take what it needs or do i need to pump stuff into the logger?

I usually use a chest with a wooden transport pipe and a diamond pipe feeding the arboretum and the excess stuff back to base.

I do
Chest / Logger
Aboretum / Power input to both
this is the view from above, well kind of

OK, so what's your setup for power, each component?
Probably best to start with the arboretum, and worry about the logger once that's running good.

You need to provide at least 1MJ/t to each for them to work, so the best way is to have 1 engine each, directly on the machine. Sterling or peat engines work great for this, but you could go for hobyist steam engine, for their low usage on coal, as long as you provide it water.
