Hi,

please excuse my bad english, I can´t it and use the Google Translator to write here. I hope you understand everything.

Now. Seeking a ModPack. The Minecraft version do not care. Further, it should not be too large, 10 years old PCs miust can handle it. So 4GB RAM in the PC must be sufficient. Logically, it must have a server version, I want to play it with friends.

It should a healthy mix of magic and technique have (ars magica, thaumcraft, IC2, thermal expansion, etc.) can further quests like to be included, but hardcore in no case - we are beginners and want to learn and build, but it is nevertheless be slightly quit a challenge. for example as in Epiccraft with the hungry and oxygen ...

But ....
it is as good as no bugs have more, be fully developed ... or at least not be referring, for example epicCraft

Can you recommend me a packet anyone there?

Edit:
Oh yes. It must also be compatible with Forge Craft.

But if that modpack is no good for your computer maybe check out the FTBLite modpack (the new 1.7 or 1.6.4 one), I've always played a edited FTBLite pack and always enjoyed it.

Well not to make a shameless plug but my Third Party Pack, Not Ready For Primetime is very light on the mod list and *should* work on older PCs. I designed it to work that way. It is slightly challenging because of the custom ore generation and things. It is in Beta but it works very well, the test server has been running with ZERO crashes for 2 weeks. If you want to try it you are more than welcome to.

Is the thread with all the information.

If I were you, I would consider removing a few mods from the DW20 pack. Biomes O plenty causes enormous stress on a system, my game runs much better without any biome mods. Personally I would also remove Forestry, Botania, Pneumaticraft and maybe Witchery. Also Ender Zoo because it adds tough mobs and I dont play Minecraft for it's combat.

Big problem here, (sorry for the late post on this, holidays and all that)
You say the pack has to run with 4 gigs of ram system wide.

This negates any 1.7 pack (as far as I know) because they want to use 3-4 gigs just for themselves, leaving you with not enough for your operating system.
This old of a PC will also probably not run 64bit java, witch is also a requirement of the 1.7 packs.

You may have to go back a few, like the 1.4 or the 1.5 packs to have a smooth playing modded pack.

Let us know how it works out for you!
And welcome to the forums!

I don't want to seem like a freak, but I recall you asking a similar question to this a few months ago. And in that thread there was a LOT of answers.
But seriously, asking for suggestions is cool and all, but the 3rd party packs section of the forums is littered with great packs, and you will find at least one there which you will enjoy :)

Yeah, it's the user's pic that got me thinking... Still a "New Member" tho' soooo.... /friendly mode activate

At least this time we have computer specs to work with. The 1.6.4 stuff would probably stutter like crazy with that little amount of system ram

Oh, also, I see their English has degraded since the last time they posted, a flame fest due to some rude responses there... I'm just gonna look away from this thread, my piece was said..

With those PC stats I might consider some of the 1.5.2 stuff. Maybe the DW20 pack(with bloat removed) or a slightly trimmed Unleashed.
Downside is you don't get many of the new features, but upside is that it is much more bug free as the features it got are much further into their development life.
