Need Help Server Overload Issues

So I have set up an FTB Direwolf 20 pack many times now. We just did a server reset to restart our world on a Multicraft server with 4 Gig mem and were having no issues till today.

I see 1 payer join the server and noone else can join. We get timeouts. I see the server CPU% on the control panel going over 150% and the server memory going up by 0.1 per second approx on the multicraft memory metre.

When this is happenng the player who joined I try to kick and the control panel doesnt respond to remove them. On restarting the server and banning the ip me and my friend can rejoin normally.

This never happens on the server when I join or any of my friends I know join. It just started happening today with randoms joining

Can someone tell me if this is a hack been used or if this is a memory leak issue>>??

I don't have the logs but banning the players who were "causing" the effect seems to fix the issue so I would say someone has a new hack out that locks down a server while spamming into memory somehow. My server is a multicraft server..not a home computer server so to take that down would take some serious spamming. I tested with my friend in creative flyin and random buidling as we go and we cannot recreate the effect...even with 4 of us trying it.....

I had players join my server last night already and nothing happened that was strange....

Mabey the player was stood in a corrupt chunk? or some sort of bug was created in their base that causes memory leaks. I know there was a bug with the grinder on an infinity server I played on

What version of the pack and what hardware is the server running on. I have run into this problem before and it ended up having to delete the player.dat, have the problem player login, then restore the player.dat have them login again.
