So I've been trying, for the past 4 days..., to create a void age where its like a space station but with the sun on the noon phase. I'm trying to create an age where its as if i was in space but the sun is still on top so that i can use botania flowers like day blooms and such. i do want mobs to spawn so probably plains biome and a lot of white grey and black stars. I've tried so many combinations that I'm on my 97th age... this is getting really bad. Please help me create the age. Thank you!

You cannot have a sun out at noon all the time and then stars+Mob spawn as well. Sun will cause day sky and prevent mobspawns.

Wait so then how did this youtuber get his sun at noon but yet the sky looks like its night?

Without watching the whole video, he is resorting to lighting the paths with torches(the ones outside the cube). So I doubt that it is a sun as the torches would not be needed if that was the case. I would guess it is a moon(never actually saw a celestial body in the video).

Did you see from 16 minutes on? where he goes into his magical age in which he does his botania stuff. he has an age where there's a sun on top but there's also stars everywhere with a boundless sky.

Nah, was not really interested in watching the whole thing and you did not specify a timecode.
Have you tried the Ender starfield page as he mentions? I have never actually tried that myself. Maybe that suppresses the daytime sky?

I tried using ender starfield as he mentions in the video but the sky that he has in his age doesn't look anything like the ender starfields that I've tried... even when i specify the color it looks different than his. Although it might be due to the fact that he added a couple layers of stars and then added 1 layer of ender starfield im not sure if that's even allowed.

I think you can only have one effective set of stars, but dunno for sure. Never really experimented with that tbh. But it is possible to change the colours of the ender starfield. And texturepacks can also change the looks of them(might require something like Optifine though to take affect).
This is a great help in writing ages:

OHHH you just made me realize that he has a texturepack... o boy... that's why his ender starfield looks completely different. Hmm is there a way for me to take the texturpack that he has and copy in the ender starfield texture?

Should be possible. You just need to locate the file and make a zip folder containing just that one file(or add it to the texturepack you are using atm) in the exact folder tree that you found it in.

In my 1.6.4 Soartex Fanver texture pack there is a file located in "assets\minecraft\textures\environment" that is called "end_sky.png", but it is just a small black dot. It might be the one in your case, but where the actual sky maps that Soartex uses I have not been able to locate...

EDIT: It might be contained it in the "assets\minecraft\mcpatcher" folder, but that does not seem simple to copy over. I am also fairly certain this is the information that requires Optifine to be visible ingame.
It is what gives you skies like this:

Ender Starfield gives the effect of no horizon, much like you find in the End. The effect was added primarily for void ages. I reserve the right to be wrong, but I don't think Ender Starfield stars move in the sky like normal stars do.

It is possible he used Black, Day Sky Color to get a nighttime look (didn't watch the video, and likely won't), but I've never attempted this combo myself.
