So my friend and I want to set up our own server. However we both don't have a lot of money to blow so buying a used server seems to be our best bet. We have a combined budget of $150, so I would like to know the recommendations of other people or general tips in regards to choosing one. I have looked on ebay and I realise the prices aren't the most reliable, but it seems like I would be able to get a fairly decent one.
