Nano Saber vs Sharpness V diamond sword

I'm pretty sure a nano saber does more damage. My Sharpness 5 sword of the zephyr (same damage as diamond) can't 1-shot skeletons or creepers, but a nano saber can.

Wish I still had my sharpness 4 nano saber :(

You could use a Zephyr, but combining vorpal and the area-of-effect of the Zephyr makes it possible to occasionally decapitate yourself.

My housemate's been using a ludicrously over-enchanted Sword of the Zephyr for ages, and has never complained about this.
 
the area of effect only affects other living entities, not you.

sharpness V looting 3 fire aspect 2 knockback 2 vorpal 4 repair 2 unbreaking 3

How did you get vorpal 4? I thought 3 was the max level for that.

I'm currently rocking sharpness 5, disjunction 4, looting 3, vorpal 3, fire aspect 2, knockback 2, unbreaking 3 & repair 2. Pretty good. Now if only I could uncraft those onto a vajra...

I personally don't like fire aspect on swords... it makes the endermen go crazy and doesn't allow you to properly kill them.

vorpal 4 is the max enchant of a book (in creative inventory) just get 3 and combine it with another 3

I haven't tried it in a while because I decapitated myself many times while using mob grinders and fighting hordes of mobs in the Twilight. This allowed me to collect multiple copies of my own head, as well as the heads of many friends who were even vaguely close to me. It could have been fixed, or perhaps that particular sword was just cursed.
 
I would still be using my "Ludicrous Gibshank of Zilliphage" I enchanted, but Xeno's Reliquary isn't updated and I am. I had SO GOD DAMN MANY enchants on that sucker. I took out Soulshards just so I could add More Enchantments and crank the enchants up even higher. I will have it again once Xeno's Reliquary updates, but until then, I use a Rapier from Tinker's Construct. The speed at which I can kill things makes me happy enough to wait.
 
The new railgun is loads of fun, especially because it doesn't always one-shot zombies, so instead they'll be launched high into the air, and then die on impact with the ground.
 
Hmm, interesting note about the sword of the Zephyr. I haven't experienced that myself. But I have killed quite a few other people while "helping" a new guy on the server deal with zombie pigmen camping the nether portal.
 
Have to agree with the MPS Power Tool.

Though depending upon preferences and level, there are some very nice custom spells in Ars Magica's toolbox....
