Nano Saber misbehaving after updating direwolf20 server

I just upgraded my server to Direwolf20 v5.1.1. I am running into a problem with the nano saber. When I try to turn it on, it flickers on, then off, then on, repeatedly, making it unusable and completely draining the battery.

My single player instance has similar problems. Also, the sword is now worthless, as it stays in 'off' mode...taking 3 strikes to kill a pig

its a problem with the latest IC2, it is on the bugs list.

the sword functions like before, it is just a graphical glitch, i can still onehit creepers and skeletons

I'm not so sure it is just graphical. Leaving it on toggles it on and off quickly. If I leave it on, even without use, it drains very quickly.
