Looking for 1 age for node exploration.
Looking for 1 age for digging (preferably with dense ores, or something along those lines) with minimal instability.

Thanks :)

I don't believe Mystcraft has any node specific age situations. I do know that finding nodes, to me, is easier in the Twilight Forest. They're easier to spot at least. I also find lots of them in deserts but they tend to be tiny. BYDHTTMWFI

For aura nodes, maybe a plains lr sesert biome, so theh are easier to spot/get to. As for digging, what method are you going to be using? Manual: Quarrying, strip mining, cherry picking, etc. Automated: Turtles Quarry, Digital miner, TF ore tree, etc?

Going to me some sort of automated mining. I just haven't decided if I am going to use the boring machine, and ender quarry, a quarry plus, or what yet.

Tee hee hee. Lemme know when you decide. It can make a big difference.

I use the deep dark for both. The darkness makes node finding a piece of cake while looking at the minimap. And i believe it has dense ores

More than likely the boring maching, or Ender Quarry. So I wouldn't mind a solution to each.

As you can see by my thread here >>> http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/issue-with-the-deep-dark-and-quarrying.46268/ <<< , I have been having issues with the deep dark that is leading me to explore other areas for mining in hopes of getting what I need. Deep dark just isn't an option at the moment that I can use for anything other than exploring.

In that case, dense ores with a ton of slowness/hunger/insert negative debuffs here, to remove instability. Its going to be automated so... you shouldnt have to spend too much time there ;)

Gotcha. Do you recall how the pages need to be put into the notebook, as I can't recall offhand.

Wont work any more with newer versions of Mystcraft. Dense Ore page will ALWAYS cause instability(leading to decay). If you really want it you would have to alter the config files to remove instability. But tbh I would recommend against it. Resources are easy enough to get a hold of as they are. Not need to rob yourself of "gameplay" by just having instant access to everything.

As for TC nodes I found my flat desert quarry world quite nice for farming them. Just set off in some direction with jetpack and goggles on and you find tons.
Have an example of the page setup etc. for it here:

Teeheehee.
Went exploring, found diamond, gold, and iron pages. Set it to do tendrils and spheres, and went in there with a fortune 5, Unbreaking 5, Effiency 5 pickaxe :D. GG minecraft. Just. GG.
I had over 25 stacks of gold ore, 30 of iron, and 3 large chests full of diamonds.

Oh well, each their own. Just seen way to many people burn out on the world/modpack/server due to getting too easy access to resources. But then again some people can spend all their time in creative building without a care. Whatever rocks your boat.

Actually, I hated how easy it was. It really wrecked the game for me :/
If I had spent a REALLY long time setting it up, finding the pages, etc, then I might have liked it. Spending 5 minutes finding the pages, and then another 5 mining out the worlds (and then running due to decay) ... Just not fun.

Not sure about other people, but I tend to take my time really. I like setting mining to be automated, that way I can focus on builds, such as my Tokamak Reactor, bees, thaumcraft, and much more.

Like today I've spent nearly all my playing time today doing research, and almost to the point where I will have ichorium stuff to do.
