Mystcraft Trick: Stuck in Age (FTB Unhinged)

I'm not sure if anyone else found this, but I have just figured out how to get out of a Mystcraft Age without using Nether or End portals.

Quick note: I was stuck in an Age totally surrounded by End Stone.

So in FTB Unhinged there are Dimensional Doors. That's literally how to get out of a Mystcraft Age. Find one, go through it, fall through the void and find the liquid teleport thing. You will spawn back in the Overworld.

I'd have taken snapshots if I knew I was going to post this, but was freaking out. This trick should actually work on anything that has Dimensional Doors.
 
That's not really a "Mystcraft" specific tip. It requires another dimensional mod to work. Although it's a neat, if not obvious solution, it doesn't help anyone from a pure Mystcraft only perspective.

Good to know for those unfamiliar with dimdoors, but not helpful if the mod isn't paired with Mystcraft
 
You cant open a nether or end portal in mystcraft anyways and this would only help people with that mod installed. Most people would have to either use /tpx or create new ages till they found a star fissure.

I once got stuck in a world with just a small island with no sugar cane hence no way to make paper to make books to make new ages. /tpx was my only way out.

There's a config setting to allow people to create nether portals in mystcraft ages (end portals don't work). So it depends on how that is set.
 
on SSP:

1. open to lan
2. activate cheats
3. /tpx 0
4. ???
5. profit!

on SMP:

1. ask an op to do /tpx [yourname] 0
2. ???
3. profit!

no need for another mod... if you don't mind cheating that is.
