Hey all, I have a question about Mystcraft. I've looked around and unless I've missed it, I haven't read anything on why Mystcraft ages inflict a status effect. I have not generated an Age that didn't have one. Is there a way to stop this?

I remember xcomp saying that any and every randomly generated world will have some form of instability. So either that is your problem or you are writing bad ages.

If you are just generating worlds at random, then there might be some form of instability in the age. Having a status effect is one of the instabilities that you might encounter.
One way to not have an unstable world is to write your own ages using a notebook and a writing desk.

Ok, thanks for the responses. I guess I'm writing them wrong, I have written my own and still get status effects. I'll keep at it! Thanks again.

We have a guide to writing stable ages over on the MystCraft wiki. Check it out here if you're still having trouble figuring it out!
