That's what I meant, since I don't have any good pages, I'm not bothering to put in any and leaving it all up to chanceGood pages for what? Just make an empty book, enter it and hope for something good.

That's how TC liquids work.

it's not necessarily meant to go into the outside worldI don't understand the logic, if I place a bucket of it somewhere it will stay but if it is generated in an mystcraft age will almost dissappear?
Weird mechanic...it's not necessarily meant to go into the outside world
TiC liquids were based on Finite Liquids, so when you place it in-world it is a small puddle instead of a big block.Weird mechanic...

I just can't help but dislike this part about mystcraft... there are some liquids which are just too valuable to have them spawn in worlds like that. you could have mystcraft add instability to ages with liquids like these, but still, you'd only need a pump to get loads of liquids fast and jump out of the age before it gets too bad...
While I agree, at the same time, how rare are these world spawns? If we're talking about a .1-1% chance for finding a super rare <insert liquid/ore/whatever>, then I'm fine with it. RNG is RNG; for that lucky world, grab what you can before it dissolves (and yes, I think the diamond/manullyn/UUmatter/whatever worlds should have massive instability).
(but I have no idea what the actual percentage is.)
I play w/o instabilitiesI just can't help but dislike this part about mystcraft... there are some liquids which are just too valuable to have them spawn in worlds like that. you could have mystcraft add instability to ages with liquids like these, but still, you'd only need a pump to get loads of liquids fast and jump out of the age before it gets too bad...
Depends on what playstyle you like. I usually don't change those things in the config if I have some kind of item for it, like Talisman of Remedium from Thaumic Tinkerer for the negative effects in bad ages, it seems more fair somehow..I play w/o instabilities
In the newest dev version the liquids were changed to source versions, although I have no idea how that would affect pre-placed fluids.the finite liquid sure is annoying though, as the liquid doesn't clear up as what it should do when you bucket it up.
yesterday it took me ages to clear out a slime island of it's slimy water because the liquid just didn't want to clear up even though I bucketed it all up
Really? Very good news imo.In the newest dev version the liquids were changed to source versions, although I have no idea how that would affect pre-placed fluids.
Taint? What taint?you'd just need a pump with energy cells at max power with an endertank, that way you should be able to keep up with the taint
