mystcraft help please

Hello all i have a problem.

i have a server and would like to create a decent mining age, rich in ores and as stable as possible.
no matter what i read or what i watch i just cant get a stable one.

can anyone provide a stable or stable as possible book set up?

If you have access to the server, I would recommend editing the NBT data of the age file using NBTExplorer. You can turn off instability, and remove any symbols which adds things you don't want. Then you delete the dimension folder and re-enter the age.

I did this to my void world, which had 100+ symbols added to the NBT data even though I only used 13 pages to write it. After some "cleaning up", it was exactly as I had written it.

Some might call it cheating, but I very much prefer NOT doing a brainless RNG battle to get the results I want.

Also there 's an in-game command to toggle instability for a certain age. If you want to do it the easy way

Instability is one thing, but if you want to the age to actually have the desired symbols, nbt editing is necessary.

Bit hard to do anything specific since you haven't told which modpack/version of Mystcraft it is for.
If it is for the current recommended versions of the 1.6 FTB packs then I made this mining age:

Updating to a newer version of Mystcraft(the one currently in Monster 1.1.2 for example) will make it a lot easier however due to the less random nature of the grammar.

No matter what I still believe that it applies that adding "Dense Ores" will cause instability. And tbh I never found it worth it. It is far easier to just mine faster in a stable age than it is to bother with an unstable age.

You can also add "undesirable" pages that will counter instabilities. If you pick something thats somewhat easy to deal with you can get away with a stable age and no NBT editing (I consider it cheating, so I choose not to do that).

not sure what the "undesirable" pages are, the mystcraft wiki is blocked from work.
I seem to remember there were pages for meteors and lightening. Lightening is manageable, but meteors have a good chance to take out your quarry, so those would be bad.
