Mystcraft can't craft notebook (Infinity evolved)

So i'm just now for the first time starting mystcraft and every guide I've read tells me I need a notebook to organize the pages I've found. Problem is, the 3 leather recipe for a notebook doesn't work and I don't even see it in the items menu.

Also it seems you can write you own pages but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it or how to even use the pages I've found to create an age. Are all the guides I've found outdated or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Is everything requireing way too much crushed obsidian to craft?
If not you are probably playing normal.
Ask your admin if they disabled it, most servers like to control MystCraft dimension building.

Well I figured out you have to use these portfolios to store the pages but I can't figure out how to makes copies or create new ones. I'm just trying to get a uu matter ocean world lol

did you know where to go to find out if they really removed the uu matter block page?

I saw a video from a youber(Hypnotizd) and he showed that the page got disabled and he had to use FTB Infinity, you may want tl check the configs.

And now about RFTools: I believe that an ocean world, single biome with 3(RFTools is Illuminati confirmed) efficiency upgrades will have a pretty low cost
