I'm running Unleashed right now and planned to set up some ages to run a quarry in, which worlds are good/not good?

Also, I can no longer craft a linking book, or see the recipe. Do I have to enable it in the config file or something?
I was also wondering how the instability works, and how I can avoid getting it.

Mystcraft has changed the way you make a linking book, I'd suggest you watch direwolf20's spotlight and you'll know what I mean.

But for instability, I don't really remember since I didn't do Mystcraft for a while now.

I think that dense ores, diamond tendrils and oil ocean cause instabilities for most of the time.

Thanks a lot, exploring so much now :)

As I understand it, you now have to pretty much try to get instability to get some.

You either have to use contrary pages (choosing five biomes then using single biome for the controller) or use a page like dense ores or accelerated (including the book choosing one of them at random).

This is true for the most part. There's still a chance that a randomly generated age can have instability, but it's significantly less likely than it used to be. On the flip side, it seems like the instability penalty is harsher for poor writing or "greedy" symbols (or I'm just horribly unlucky)
