My mining laser never depletes

So I dont know if its a bug but my laser never goes down I have solar helmet on..but im in a cave so that should not recharge it. I can constantly shoot it without it draining.

Also, are you using a lappack? This can keep it going for quite some time.

no lap pack just the helmet

Quantum armor or gravi chestplate will also charge it.
