I'm having the exact same problems, I'm on Vista as well, I've tried all of the solutions above, nothing working.

Acording to your log you either don't have the latest java or you still have old versions installed. Remove them first and install the latest one from here.[DOUBLEPOST=1387133014][/DOUBLEPOST]

It's now fixed. It's as simple as uninstalling all versions of java and installing the newest!

Well, I do not have any old versions of Java running. Am running the latest 1.7_45, and have rebooted, and am getting a similar but slightly different error message:

I don't think I've EVER had a launcher upgrade go well...it is exhausting trying to get it to work every time. Either the auto-update never works and you have to manually download the files, or you have to go through a ridiculous 45-minute troubleshooting session of uninstalling your entire computer and re-installing everything to get it to work properly. And even THEN it doesn't work half the time.

I can't seem to find the 1.3 changelog...I'd like to see if there's even a reason to upgrade to it. 1.2.7 is working fine with the exception of not being able to launch DW20's 1.6.4 pack.
