Windows .exe My FTB memory allocation won't go any higher than 678MB

In the FTB launcher I have 6 GB dedicated to it and it won't go above 678MB.
Any idea why?

Minecraft will use as much as it needs up to the max allocated.
And with minecraft and ram, more isn't always better.

Set a max of 40-45% of your ram (If you close everything else) to minecraft also minecraft will only use as much as it needs, it will take the ram and prevent other programs from using it so further use.
