So I decided to mess around in creative, when I had an awesome idea; Using photogenic insolators and culinary generators to create a self feeding power source. Bear in mind before you examine the picture, not once EVER have I made a factory before, especially not one like this.

It's pretty tangled and messed up since I had no idea I would require so much pipes and crap.

So.. How it works is I have 2 photogenic insolators, 1 creates lettuce, the other creates carrots. They refill themselves with the seeds (Carrots enter a loop and reenter the machine, and lettuce seeds are put in a longer loop that puts it back in a machine). The extra carrots and lettuce produced are put into some chests to buffer, then are taken into a crafting machine where it combines the 2 ingredients with a chopping board and makes salad. The salad is then brought to a culinary generator, where it is consumed for energy and powers an energy cell. That same energy cell is what powers everything else I already mentioned.

Then I encountered a problem, which was getting more phyto-gro. So I had to create a whole new section (the top of the screenshot area). First, it took cobblestone from a cobble-gen and ground it into sand, then the sand was crafted into sandstone. Then the sandstone is ground up and made more sand, and Niter. The byproduct of sand is brought to an induction furnace that also uses the cobble-gen. They combine and cook Slag as a secondary.

Then a tree farm cuts down logs, and cooks them into charcoal, then grinds it into charcoal dust. The charcoal dust, Niter, and Slag are all brought into a crafting machine, which then crafts the phyto-gro. The phyto-gro then is moved into the photogenic insolators and a complete cycle is formed!

So, besides the main purpose which is to make energy, it also creates 4 byproducts for me to use for whatever I want. Stone bricks, lettuce seeds, saplings, and gravel.

Unfortunately, most things created in the process to craft phyto-gro is produced way too much. I have way too much slag, way too much charcoal dust, and way too much niter.

Please bear in mind, this was in no way a practical build either, it was completely for fun and seeing if it was possible for Salad = Energy.
