Just an FYI, if you use an apiarists pipe, you can actually hook up two apiaries per pipe like so

A W
P I
A W

Where A = apiaries, W = wooden pipes, I = iron pipes, and P = apiarists pipes.

Set each of the genome types on the pipes to the respective apiary, and bam, super compact bee housing. Of course, this only really works with pure breeds as non pures will get filtered out.

I am still having a issue with bees disappearing.....It only seems to happen vary rarely. Yet I will find a queen gone from my Alviaries or Aperiaries....The ones that are set up to autoamically pull the bees and then put them back in the house....Is this a known issue? I read about ignoble stock and don't breed with them any more...I also throw out all my ignoble stock......I have looked all over the place in my system and can't figure out what is going on.

Well, first instinct is to say it's ignoble stock

But say for instance your princess somehow made it out of the piping that leads straight into the apiary, is there some sort of overflow that will catch them at the other end?

If it falls out of the pipe...there is nothing that will pick it up...if it stays in the pipe then there is a chest to catch princesses at the end of the line and another for queens and another for drones.......

I am thinking that it might be caused by my unloading the game at just the right moment....like right where the bees aren't in the housing anymore...yet isn't in the pipe either.....

Well, perhaps as an experiment see if you plonk down an item collection thing around your bee area (like a gathering golem) and see if it manages to gather any bees. If so, you've got a problem with them falling out of your pipes.

I can't think of any other reason as to why they'd disappear

I tried placing a vacuum hopper all over the place and still get missing bees....I think it is a bug or similar since it only happens when I exit the game and then load it back up. I am not playing on a server.....So I decided to shut down my bee system till I figure something out...... :(

See if the queen/princess is ignoble. Then you can risk to loose her
