Is Soaryn going to rename them when Mojang actually releases Quartz in vanilla?

Mojanga is NETHER quartz. His is quartz quartz

Glad I found this thread, I agree that these crystals are annoying as hell. Why do you even put these in our world years in advance when they are useless and troublesome? I want to say something mean but I won't.

Because if he adds them and we already have generated worlds, we won't get them.

For regular builds i guess xycraft of ahead of its time... it gives a lot of color when you are used to see more dull stuff.

Those crystals actually are good markers.. but i use those aluminium sulphur torches allready.

With the regular xycraft stuff i have an automated crafting table assembling them into blocks and store them into barrels. Because the mod its in beta we can get something rather cool later on.

I highly suspect Soaryn will be improving their functions closer to bonemeal and thus improve their usefulness.

And hey, worst case it's good for the recycler because there's no such thing as too much scrap.

I love unpacking scrapboxes a stack at a time.

The sulfur torches drop the red stuff, the aluminum torches don't. As for the crystals, I imagine the ID issue will be resolved when Soaryn releases the next update, which will hopefully also include the machines module so this stuff finally has a use beyond decoration.

Sure can. I have one room with fifteen of them and a wooden golem dumping them in a barrel.
