So, I'm well aware of the ability to import a FTB instance into MultiMC. However, I never hear anyone mention going the other way around.

If I were to use multimc to play, is there any way to switch back to the FTB launcher and bring my world changes with me?

Yeah, you can copy the new world save files from the multimc directory over to your Feed The Beast directory.
