Details of the issue:

Have discovered that the lag I have always tolerated in Mine Craft is related to mouse movement, I used to think it was video options or the mod packs etc.

I have a fairly high end PC, but noted that when I press 'F3' and then move my mouse around in tiny circles that the frame rate drops down from 120 fps to about 5.

If I enable keyboard-turning, FPS does NOT drop when i turn around, I used to think it was a rendering issue.

I am thinking that there's some sort of issue with Mine Craft and mouse movement, where the mouse movement will cause the whole JAVA session to consume CPU, which leaves nothing for running the actual game, hence the sudden drop in FPS.

Running latest version of Java on Windows 10

Has anyone else seen something similar?

I think i found the problem.

I switched my mouse from wired to wireless (it is a Razer Naga Epic) mode and reduced mouse acceleration in Windows and boosted it in Minecraft.

Smooth FPS is the result after a fair bit of fiddling around.

Posting here in case someone else comes across this bizare problem.
