I'm trying to find a more efficient setup for my ic2 machines. I'll use an Indunction Furnace as an example.

Right now, I have a glass fibre power cable attached to the bottom, an m.e. import bus on the back, an export bus or interface on the top.

The only sides left for a redstone signal to keep the machines "heated" are the sides/front. I need to be able to reach the front, so am currently putting levers on the sides. I'd like to find a way to be able to place the furnaces next to each other.

Any suggestions?

You can use some cf on the glass fiber , then put the lever on the bottom , and boom ;)

This doesn't work for me though, the problem is that the redstone would still need to apply to the foam block below the furnace, which is the block level with the floor. The only way to apply a redstone signal without messing up the floor is to apply the signal below the foam block, which is where the glass fibre cable is coming from. A second foam block does nothing because redstone won't travel like that.

have the glass fiber wire go out the side of the cf block and attach the lever to the bottom of it.

But the cf block is below the machine, level with the floor. I can't have the glass cable come out of it at the side, otherwise I have no room for my floor block
